Target In Sight wins 2014 Beck Probuild Testa Rossa Stks Listed $120,000 at Caulfield (VIC) , 1200m.
Target In Sight put up a good effort to win at his first Victorian start. He settled in 12th place (wide with cover) before improving rounding the home turn. He fanned deep on straightening, put in a good run, getting to second at the 200m and then finished gamely to score a narrow but impressive win.
In Cahoots was trapped deep in seventh place. He improved (still wide) nearing the turn, took the lead at the 200m and fought gamely for a very good second, conceding 3kg to the runner-up.
Turquoise King was fifth on the rails before switching between runners at the home turn. He went to fourth at the 200m and then battled on quite well for a sound third, beaten two lengths.
Vain Queen was tenth (wide with cover) from the 600m. She went wide on turning for home, put in a run going to sixth at the 200m and kept making ground for a sound (3.8 lengths) fourth.
Pago Rock was handy sixth most of the way to the turn and held on for fifth, beaten four lengths.
