Best From The West – October 6

It is a tough day overall at Belmont but two shorties standout and we think just take the double in the middle of the card.

In the Listed Birthday Stakes, Enticing Star kicks off her summer campaign looking to stay unbeaten.

She might want further in time but so too do the rest of these and every one of them is first up.

At the weight scale she gets a big advantage and given there are only five in the race, she will not be that far behind in running even if last.

Whatever they target with her, be it the Winterbottom or Railway, she is an exciting horse.

A horse owned, trained and ridden in the same interests is Arcadia Prince and we’ll take him as the second leg of the double.

The son of Pierro goes first up over the 1400m and now older that is a good sign as the breed like a bit of ground.

He wasn’t far away in good races as a Spring 3yo and then only had three outings in the Winter.

Thinking he’ll sit just off the pace in this and be strong late.
