A competitive field of runners will line up in the Kranji Stakes B over 2000m at Kranji on Friday night.
Song To The Moon comes off a very nice last start win in a Class 2 over 1800m and if he can run up to that effort again you would expect him to be very hard to beat again today.
Has won twice previously over 2000m so the extra trip on offer will suit and from barrier 5 he should get a fairly nice run off the speed once again today.
Trainer Michael Clements has ticked him over since that effort with a barrier trial over 1000m and winning jockey Nooresh Juglall remains on board.
Now that he is back up around the 2000m trip he is a much better horse than racing over the mile and this looks a very nice race for the five-year-old who has now won six of his 26 outings.
Arhat shapes up as the main danger and also brings a good record over the 2000m trip winning on two previous occasions.
The son of Iffraaj comes off a last start win over 1700m in a Class 3, just getting the better of O’What A Feeling and Supernova in a tight finish.
The Michael Clements-trained runner will need a bit of luck from the wide draw and with a bit of speed up front could settle back in the field.
Arhat has shown a good turn of foot from back in the field previously and expect him to be getting to the line strongly once again.
Golazo gets out to the 2000m on the back of some strong recent results over 1800m.
Winning a Kranji Stakes B three runs back over the 1800m, the five-year-old gelding was then disappointing over the mile before running third to Song To The Moon in a Class 2 last start.
The last time Golazo was seen over the 2000m trip he finished third in a Kranji Stakes C last year and he rates well on what he has produced recently.
From barrier 2 Golazo may well find himself in the second half of the field but if he can find some clear air at the right time he can make his way into the finish.
Star Jack rounds out the main chances and is another that comes into the race off a last start win over 1800m in a Kranji Stakes C.
Lightly raced with just the four runs to his name and open to further improvement is not to be discounted.
Good luck!
