Infantry Set For Strong Return In Fortune Bowl

A competitive field of runners will line up in the 2018 Group 3 Fortune Bowl (1400m) at Kranji on Sunday with many of them resuming.

One of those kicking off their campaign is the five-year-old gelding Infantry who has not been seen since running fifth to Gilt Complex in the Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup (2200m) in November of last year.

Stepping out as the top weight today, Infantry was very good when resuming last campaign, winning the Group 1 Kranji Mile and has a terrific first up record previously, winning three of his four starts and placing on the other occasion.

Infantry has been readied for his first up assignment with two strong barrier trials, finishing runner up on both occasions and despite looking for more ground he is very effective first up and over the 1400m trip.

Likely to settle off the leaders closer to midfield from barrier 7, Infantry measures up very well against his rivals today and can certainly be winning this on his way to bigger targets this campaign.

Majestic Moments has race fitness on his side and comes into the race off solid recent form.

Running on well for fourth in the Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup, Majestic Moments then returned with a second placing in a Kranji Stakes A and was far from disgraced again when fourth in similar company last start.

The Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner is a long time between wins now but does his best racing over the 1400m trip and if he can run up to his Singapore Gold Cup effort he will certainly be right in the mix again today.

Mr Fantastic will look to build on his last start win which came in a very strong Kranji Stakes A over 1400m last month.

Mr Fantastic has since finish runner up in a barrier trial behind Preditor and his last start effort certainly puts him squarely in the mix today.

Vlad Duric takes the ride and from the middle draw should be positive and put himself in the race once again.

The six-year-old gelding is a very honest type who runs well over the 1400m trip and another win today certainly would not surprise.

Nova Strike has been mixing his form in recent times but looks well weighted today and on best form measures up well against his rivals.

Willing to forgive his last start effort in the Kranji Stakes A over the mile last start when not having much luck but his form prior to that was good winning two starts back in a Kranji Stakes A over 1400m.

Will look to not get as far back today from the good draw and has certainly shown enough in recent times to suggest he will be prominent.

Good Luck!
