Sattar has been unlucky not to break through from two starts to date but gets his chance when he lines up in the Initiation over 1100m on the Polytrack at Kranji on Friday night.
The Ricardo Le Grange-trained runner finished runner up on debut to Yabadabadoo on debut before running a close third to Augustano over 1200m last start who has since gone on to win again.
Sattar has been a beaten favourite on both occasions but this looks a very good race for him and he did win a recent trial over 1000m leading into this.
Drops back to the 1100m today which should suit and down in the weights with just the 51kg expect him to prove too good today.
Has not drawn the best in barrier 12 but expect Oscar Chavez to roll forward from that barrier and put him into the race.
The son of Star Witness has certainly shown in two runs to date that he has ability and expect him to finally crack the maiden win today.
The former New Zealand-trained runner Dutrow shapes up as the main danger after running well for second over this trip in his Singapore debut last month.
Pushing forward to settle on the speed on that occasion, the four-year-old gelding was narrowly beaten Gran Torino on that occasion but should take good improvement from the run.
He clearly enjoyed the Polytrack last start and did look the winner at one point but appeared to get tired late in the race.
Dutrow certainly appears to have improvement to come from that effort and remaining over the 1100m should certainly be around the mark again.
Black Quail steps out on debut having won his only trial in Singapore to date also showing good ability in four previous trials in New Zealand.
With plenty of trials now under his belt, the four-year-old gelding certainly looks ready to step out at the races and from the good draw is worth keeping an eye on.
Belt And Road steps out for his Singapore debut, following only fair form in Australia previously.
Finished runner up in a recent barrier trial over 1000m in poor conditions which will put him in good stead for this and despite placing just once in six starts to date he has shown enough to suggest he can measure up in a race like this.
Expect him to roll forward from the awkward barrier to put himself on the speed and if there is any market support he could be worth following.
Good Luck!
