Best From The West - April 1

The Simon Miller trained Seannie has displayed plenty of ability in her three starts to this point and appears well placed to take out this year's Group 2 Karrakatta Plate.

An ultra impressive winner fresh, Seannie was simply left with too much to do last start when finishing third in Gimcrack Stakes.

Settled at the rear, she was set an impossible task and found the line very well to only be beaten one-and-a-half lengths.

She is expected to springboard off that performance and can hopefully settle closer to the speed from the inside draw.

Confident she is the best 2YO in WA and while backmarkers are obviously low-percentage, her raw talent should carry her a long way.

Better than 2-1 was being offered about her chances early doors, which was good shopping for those who snapped it up.

With $2.90 still available, we are more than happy to take that price and here's hoping Aaron Mitchell can continue his hot form (20% L50 rides).

The Durrant and Miller trained Sweet Ora went to the paddock in superb form and remains a big watch fresh in the sixth event.

A winner of six of her 10 starts, Sweet Ora has displayed plenty of ability and has since trialled well off a break.

On best form she is very well placed and the decision by Pike to stick aboard is a decent push (placed 9/10).

As much as $2.30 is being offered about her chances which still appears decent odds, as it's very easy to mark her odds-on.

Although drawn a touch awkwardly, she still should prove very hard to beat.
