Say From SA - January 9

Going for the Victorian interlopers at the Morphettville card on Saturday.

We’ll kick off with the ‘struggling’ Darren Weir stable and a mare who has only had one run in over a year.

Hotel Sierra had a top prep two Springs ago then came back in what was a high quality Open Handicap in March at Moonee Valley and didn’t get into the race.

That race included the likes of Platelet, Gregers, Diamond Oasis amongst other metropolitan winners.

She was probably outgraded but a return in a race of this nature which is much below that can see her gain much needed confidence.

All we need to see is some support in the ring to be betting.

For the value happy to be going for the Daniel Bowman five year old Countdown.

This stable have been having a good trot of late and this horse got out to 2000m at Warrnambool where he led all the way.

He’s hard fit now and will probably work over the field to be leading. Dropping 3kg, he will be a chance in an open race.
