Not too many make a debut as impressive as that of Wild Africa and he might just be the star of the show at Caulfield on Saturday.
Wild Africa obliterated not only his rivals at Kilmore but also the clock with the performance pointing strongly to the son of Henrythenavigator being a stakes-performer of the future.
He bumps into another pretty hand one here in Lord Of The Sky but if the opinion we have of his Kilmore success holds true he will prove too good.
Add a couple of other promising rivals, not least Lucky Symbol for the very much in-form Phillip Stokes, and Lord Of The Sky looks one to oppose at his current quote short of 2/1.
Later on the card Savitar goes to 2000m for just the second time and he finds a race full of exposed rivals.
High in the market sits Marden (11 starts between wins), Canonized (9 starts), and Kenjorwood (14 starts).
Savitar has recent winning form, albeit in easier, and is untapped at the trip, his one run around the journey and solid enough effort in a better race than this.
