ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 6 (8) GENERALIFE: Progressive Lonhro gelding has the look of a horse just hitting his straps. Atoned for unlucky efforts at Rosehill and Warwick Farm when he powered home late to win a BM75 over 1400m on the Kensington track carrying 59kg for his fourth win in only 13 starts. He can only go on from that as the extra trip here will suit with 3kg less to counter a slight rise in class.

RACE 7 (14) MONBAZILLAC: Carried plenty of Peter Moody stable confidence when he came off two smart trials against topliners for a first-up second to Rastro in this class over 1100m on the Kensington on October 7. He was desperately unlucky not to land the money as he was never out of bother from start to finish with numerous mentions in the stewards report. Obvious improver and should go close with better luck from rails draw.

RACE 8 (4) DISCIPLE: Makes appeal as the best value among the four runners from the Chris Waller stable. He’s on the boil for a first-up win after two excellent trial efforts as he his unbeaten in two starts over this course and distance and is favourably weighted thanks to the 3kg claim for his apprentice rider. Started his last campaign with back to back wins at this course and is well placed to resume in similar form.
