Vivi Veloce resumes at Morphettville Parks, last seen when breaking through in the Group 3 National Stakes and looks on target to kick off in similar fashion on Saturday.
The three-year-old filly showed good ability last preparation and was solid in a recent barrier trial at this course when runner up over 1000m.
Drawn well in barrier 3, but generally gets back in the run and will hit the line strongly here. The scratching of Charles In Charge makes it an even easier task and she has improved her rating with every career start.
Paul Gatt goes back on board and on what she produced last campaign will be hard to hold out in this.
Main danger appears to be Gamblin’ Guru who was disappointing last start and will be looking for more ground still.
Currently at $2.70 Vivi Veloce looks well placed to be winning here.
Bellchuca appears to have hit some recent form of late and later in the day looks on target to return to the winners circle.
The Brian Searle-trained runner won just three starts back and has been very good in two outings since.
The four-year-old mare rates well on top on weight adjusted Timeform ratings and has a good record not only at the trip but the course as well.
The daughter of Blevic is rarely far away and at the current price of $6 looks a good play at potential each way odds.
Bellchua ran a higher figure than both Little Miss Bourke and Ambrosia last start and on that form can get the job done here.
Star Of Zena the current $3 favourite in the Sportingbet Handicap still has a bit to find on her career best and only being lightly raced may well do that but happy to take her on today.
She takes on a couple of handy gallopers including Ziggler who ran in much tougher company last campaign and at the current price of $3 looks too short for a race like this.
