RANDWICK SATURDAY
RACE 1 (2) WATABOUT: Really liked the way this Allan Denham-trained filly has gone about her work winning her last two starts at Canterbury. Easily coped with a step up from 1100m to 1250m last time when she ran away to win by a soft three lengths and is well placed again with a kilo less and the good lead from Nash Rawiller keeping the ride. The Denham stable is renowned for their success in keeping two-year-olds in winning form.
RACE 5 (5) TOTAL ATTRACTION: Former Peter Moody-trained mare is primed for a bold first-up showing for her new trainer David Van Dyke after two excellent barrier trial placings when she has caught the eye running to the line under minimal pressure. She boasts strong first-up form and looks a good gamble to perform strongly in this class based on her multiple Group placings against some classy types in Melbourne last spring.
RACE 7 (4) GHOST PROTOCOL: Promising import in the Paul Perry yard is building up to his first Australian win after four solid efforts on unsuitable slow and heavy tracks. Made up plenty of ground over 2000m at Rosehill last Saturday and should be suited over the extra 400m on a better surface with certain genuine pace in this field, noting that he won twice in the UK up to 2212m.
