ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 1 (1) BULL POINT: Imposing Fastnet Rock colt showed that his $960,000 yearling price was money well spent when he powered to the line for a super debut win over 1000m at Randwick beating the subsequent winner Wouldn’t Be Nice easily on a slow track. The boom on him is well placed as he is a striking type who should find the extra 200m ideal at this stage of his preparation. Hard to go past him on weights and measures as he meets Wouldn’t It Be Nice 1.5kg better for beating him by two lengths at Randwick.

RACE 3: (4) FULGUR: Chris Waller switches this import from Melbourne in the right form after his strong back to back wins over 1700m at Flemington made up for minor placings at his first three Australian starts. Interesting that this will be his first Sydney start after Waller started him off in Melbourne but he seems well suited to the affected winter tracks and should respond well to the strength of Nash Rawiller.

RACE 6: (7) EIGELSTEIN: Another Chris Waller import crying out to win his first Australian race after luckless efforts at his last two starts at Randwick and Rosehill. He’s on the quick back up from his sixth over 1200m at Rosehill last Monday when he was held up and checked over the last 400m, certainly costing him a place. As his European form featured stakes placings up to 2000m he looks well placed here stepping up to 1500m off his two recent 1200m starts.
