Karl Burke's star filly does not feature among the eleven entries for the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot next week.
A commanding winner of the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh as a two-year-old, Fallen Angel was sent off at the top of the market to give trainer Karl Burke his first British Classic winner in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket in May.
The daughter of Too Darn Hot would ultimately disappoint on the Rowley Mile, but soon proved what she was capable of on the big stage when bouncing back to land the Irish equivalent in fine style at the Curragh a few weeks later.
A trip to Ascot for the Coronation Stakes had been on the horizon for the Clipper Logistics-owned three-year-old, but she did feature amongst the eleven confirmations made on Saturday afternoon.
"Unfortunately, she's had a little training setback and she's not going to be able to run next week," Burke explained to the PA.
"We're not sure how long it's going to hold us up for at this stage, hopefully, it's not too serious.
"It's obviously disappointing, as it looked as though it was going to be one of the races of the week, but it would have been worse if it had happened the week before the Irish Guineas – we've got to look on the bright side."
Fallen Angel's absence has seen bookmakers promote Irish 1000 Guineas third Opera Singer to a general 6/4 market leader, with the Roger Varian-trained Newmarket heroine Elmalka next best in the betting.
1000 Guineas runner-up Porta Fortuna was among the eleven confirmations, while the French raider Ramatuelle, who finished one spot behind in third at Newmarket, also featured.
Chic Colombine, Content, Devoted Queen, Folgaria, Rouhiya, See The Fire and Skellet make up the eleven-strong entry list at the current stage.
Impressive Inisherin supplemented for Commonwealth Cup
Elsewhere on the card, as expected, the impressive Sandy Lane Stakes winner Inisherin has been supplemented for the Commonwealth Cup at a cost of £46,000.
Kevin Ryan's exciting three-year-old sprinter wasn't the only horse to be added to the field with John and Thady Gosden's Orne, who finished one spot behind Inisherin at Haydock, also supplemented at the same cost.
The Simon and Ed-Crisford-trained Vandeek was unbeaten in four outings as a juvenile which included victories in both the Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville and Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket and as a result, he was sent off a warm order to make a winning reappearance in the Haydock Group 2. Vandeek would taste defeat for the first time when third at the Merseyside venue but features among the twenty-two entries as he bids to get back on track at the royal meeting.
Whilst Karl Burke will not be represented by Fallen Angel in the Coronation Stakes, the Spigot Lodge handler looks to have a live chance of claiming Group 1 glory on the same card courtesy of Elite Power in the Commonwealth Cup. Highly tried following his winning debut as a two-year-old, he bounced back to form in impressive fashion when routing the opposition in the Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury, a performance that made him as short as 7/1 with some bookmakers.
Commanding Ascot Trials Day winner Jasour also features, while last year's Coventry Stakes hero River Tiber could drop back to six furlongs after finishing third in the Irish 2000 Guineas for Aidan O'Brien.
