No surprises in Sha Tin features

Even with the track on the softish side the favourites managed to run well and salute.

Firstly Galaxy Patch in the Lion Rock Trophy although it was only by a nose from Chancheng Glory in a thrilling finish.  Beauty Joy was 2 ¾ lengths away in third.

In the Sha Tin Vase Ka Ying Rising underlined his class winning by 1 ¼ lengths from Flying Ace 14/1 with Howdeepisyourlove third.  The stewards were not happy with the run of Invincible Sage who seemed to be saying he would like to be in the paddock and that will now happen, and the ride of Harry Bentley on Mugen who was 4th – he chose not to go forward when there was an opportunity to do so and thus encountered traffic problems.
