NEW SOUTH WALES

SR 1: Obvious lead for the Peter Snowden newcomer (2) LYRIC with the early scratching of his stablemate. He ran sharp time winning Warwick Farm trial over 800m, seven tenths faster than the Redoute's Choice filly (5) DON'T BLINK in her heat win on the same day when she beat rivals (7) TREECAT MAGIC and (6) LODESTONE. It may come down to the one taking the most improvement from those trials.

SR 3: Hot trial form. Class sprinter (1) ATOMIC FORCE did as much as he had to win his 900m heat at Rosehill on Tuesday and wet conditions are in his favour. Likewise the speedster (2) KEEN COMMANDER showed all his usual pace to lead easily and win his 800m heat at Warwick Farm on 15 November by a big margin and he will also relish the heavy track. They smart and lightly weighted (7) TIGER TEES will be a tough rival as he was equally good winning his 800m heat at Warwick Farm on 15 November in comparable time and will also handle the wet. His new stablemate (3) NEWS ALERT did nothing in WF trial on 15 November.

SR 7: Best trial among several resuming came from lightly raced (12) BARSINOLA with a strong second over 872m at Randwick on 18 November. (1) LIECHTENSTEIN (4th Rand 4 Nov, (5) RECORRIDO (3rd WF 15 Nov) and (13) DANZA KING (3rd Rose 8 Nov) open to improvement on easy trials.

SR 8: Good conditioning trials from (9) SECESSION over 800m at Warwick Farm on 15 November and (14) WE BETCHA at Randwick on 18 November will have brought them on for this first-up test. No lead from recent trials by (7) O'CRIKEY and (8) SUPERIOR INSTINCT but they perform when fresh and like the wet.

NSW TRIALLERS RACING INTERSTATE:

MR 6-4 KHAS KURA (Peter Snowden): Scored in a Rosehill trial earlier in the month. Remember he started one of the favourites in a Sandown Guineas two years back.

VICTORIA

MR 1-4 MEMBERS JOY (Robert Smerdon): Stable are on fire and he brings one of the few 2yos to trial publicly here after two of them at Cranbourne. The last of which was a strong win so the experience angle may play in her favour.

MR 6-3 HANKS (Peter Moody): Remember this is the horse when a 3yo that won the Vase on Cox Plate day, didn't go to the Derby then encountered issues for the rest of his classic season and hasn't recaptured since. He had a trial at Cranbourne recently and win it suggesting that he might be on the way back. May not win here but watch for a good prep.

QUEENSLAND

BR 2-7 STEEL ZIP (Pat Duff): Ran in several of the good Qld 3yo Winter sprints and came away with a Listed Win. Has had two Deagon trials for this including a win (admittedly with only one rival). But he does go well on resumption.

BR 7-11 BELLTONE (Kelso Wood): Had a fabulous preparation already winning six times and nosed out in the other. Given a short let up, he won a trial at Doomben to be ready for this Listed Race. This is his biggest test to date.
