SR 1: Believe what you see! Impressive debut winner (1) STARTREUSSE followed up his Canterbury success with a massive 16 lengths trial win over 900m at Rosehill last Friday on when he ran 1.2 seconds faster than the six other 2yo heats. Now he has to stretch that speed to 1200m. (6) SONIC BLAST improved at his second trial when he ran home strongly for third to Startreusse in a Randwick trial over 734m on 6 May. Has been given plenty of time and scratched from Canterbury on Wednesday is a pointer.

SR 2-9 RANCHERO (David Payne): An interesting preparation for this maiden performer to take on 1800m first-up after winning a Rosehill trial over 1030m last Friday.

SR 3-5 SHE MUST BE OBEYED (Anthony Cummings): Smart filly is a barrier rogue and was ordered to trial twice after her late scratching at Randwick on 28 May. She met the requirement with a close third at Rosehill last Friday and then a quick back up to win Randwick trial over 740m on Monday. Expected to be more focused with the addition of blinkers.

SR 4: Big interest in resuming pair (4) SKYTRAIN and (8) SQUAMOSA. Former was not let go when second in his Rosehill heat over 1030m last Friday and should be well fancied fresh. Squamosa has not been seen since he won a Randwick trial in December before setback. Seems he has been nursed back but track watchers are keen on his condition and form on the track.

SR 7: Fast mare (3) ELECTRIC DREAMS was sent down to Kembla Grange for a soft 800m trial win on 11 May. Expect a sharp first-up run. (13) CLAM CHOWDER was a good third in a Warwick Farm heat on 20 May has stirred first-up interest in this mare in early market moves.

SR 8-1 VIKING LEGEND (Simpson/Barnes): Was in obvious need of a trial after 15 months off and did well for second in a 1200m heat at Warwick Farm on 20 May.

VICTORIA

MR 5-4 LAKEDRO (Greg Eurell): Resumes off a quiet trial recently at Cranbourne which included the England bound Hinchinbrook. He hasn't got a great record fresh but perhaps the Winter Championship Final will be his focus.

QUEENSLAND

BR 1-3 DOUG'S JET (Michael Nolan): Kicked off her career well with two wins and a placing earlier this year. After a break had a trial win at Toowoomba indicating she might have come back in good fettle.

BR 2-1 TEMPLE OF BOOM (Tony Gollan): The Magic Millions Sprint winner comes back after a trial placing at Doomben. He lifted to a new level with a Flemington Listed win over the carnival and maintained the form back home.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

AR 6-2 XAIETA (David Jolly): Handy mare resuming. Just edged out in a Murray Bridge trial recently. Goes well fresh and claim and good draw bonuses.

AR 8-8 MAVROSS (David Jolly): From the same stable as Xaieta and ran fourth in that same trial. Also looks well placed fresh and should be poised to pounced in the straight.
