Williams off to a great start in Japan

Craig Williams has recently taken up a short term to licence to ride in Japan and with a win in yesterday's feature and a second in today's he's off to a flyer.

Yesterday he rode outsider Tosen Homareboshi to a great win in the Kyoto Shimbun Hai defeating Veiled Impact and Extra End. He also had a third, two fourths, a seventh and a last in other races.

Today at Tokyo he led the pack chasing Curren Black Hill home in the NHK Mile abord Alfredo. Clarente was third ad Olivine fourth with not much distance between them except for the winner's margin of 3 1/2 lengths. Hana's Goal ran 7th but there was not much distance between the second-7th placings. Williams has had only a couple of other runners today who are probably best described as still running.
