Rocket Man trials at Kranji

Rocket Man has reappeared on his home track in a trial after his return from Japan, and was on his best behaviour but needing the run.

His next major date is in Hong Kong in December and trainer Patrick Shaw is hoping to get a race into

him between now and then.

Meantime there's a Kranji A tonight over 1400m on the turf. Captain Obvious looks an obvious choice

(sorry couldn't help that pun) with Ato, Apache Crown and Finderskeepers all with good current form so

a win from any of them would not be a major upset. Look for a better run tonight from McClintock - he

didn't seem too happy on the AWT on his Singapore debut.

Sunday there's an Open Benchmark 97 over 1000m with only 7 runners. Powerful Tree looked

impressive last outing, Argy Bargy is coming down in trip but that shouldn't be a problem and Moreira

will be on the promising Primera Espada. Coup Align if you need a fourth pick.

The 10th race on this 12 race card is the Mandai Classic Open over 2200m turf with 9 contestants.

Some of these will be looking towards the Singapore Gold Cup after this run. Laurie Laxon has three

runners with Martial Art being our pick both of his runners and in general, ahead of Power Blitz, Lizarre

and Hint.

Moreira will be riding in Melbourne on Saturday on a couple of Patinack runners.
