Takarazaka Kinen at Kyoto

Usually at Hanshin but moved to Kyoto as Hanshin is undergoing works.

It's a G1 where horses get voted in by the public and this year's most popular for the G1 2200m feature is Do Deuce who comes in on 2.2.  He's not the most consistent of horses and this is his first run at home after returning from Dubai.  We prefer Justin Palace – he's more consistent and has Lemaire on board, with the current quote 4.2.

Blow The Horn is one who seems to love Kyoto having won two of his four starts on the track and he's on 8.5 and Bellagio Opera won the prep for this the Osaka Hai and is on 12.4.

Damian Lane has received a temporary licence to ride in Japan and will be on Struve here.  Struve has won his last three starts and seems to respond to overseas jockeys and his 19.2 quote seems very good value indeed.

The race is open to foreign horses but there are none this year.  The last one was Werther, who amongst his other talents predicted an earthquake but getting very upset in his stall several hours before the earthquake struck, and when it did happen he was quite calm.
