Elm Park, a leading fancy for tomorrow's Investec Derby, will carry the second colours of Qatar Racing Ltd - the organisation's first colours will be carried by 100/1 outsider Rogue Runner.
Oisin Murphy, who rides the Andreas Wohler-trained Rogue Runner, will wear Qatar Racing's familiar maroon cap and gold tassel, while Andrea Atzeni on the Andrew Balding-trained Elm Park, who is around a 7/1 chance, will be in a gold cap.
Explaining the unexpected switch, Qatar Racing's David Redvers said: "It seems that whenever we run two or three horses in the same race, the second colours come out best [examples would be Hot Streak's win in last year's Group Two Temple Stakes at Haydock, and Pearl Secret's success in the same race last month].
"Sheikh Fahad therefore decided to put the second colours on Elm Park."
