Double Seven will again be trained with a view to returning to Aintree next April for the Crabbie's Grand National.
Martin Brassil's eight-year-old finished an honourable third on Merseyside last season to put the seal on a fine campaign which yielded five consecutive victories between June and October.
The JP McManus-owned Double Seven has yet to return to full training, but Brassil is optimistic he has the right profile to improve with age.
"He's in good shape, but he's pre-training at the moment and is not back with me just yet," said the County Kildare handler.
"We haven't really sorted out a plan this year, but if he goes over hurdles or fences first it wouldn't really matter as it's all the same to him.
"He's only eight, so you'd hope there'd be a fair bit more to come.
"Aintree is very much at the front of my mind."
