Two runners in the Caulfield Cup need to be re-inspected by vets after showing signs of lameness.
Caulfield Cup contenders Without A Fight and Nonconformist are under a fitness cloud leading into the Caulfield Cup.
The two horses were showing signs of lameness following mandatory pre-race veterinary examinations by Racing Victoria vets on Thursday to ascertain their suitability to race.
The Anthony and Sam Freedman-trained Without A Fight presented with lameness in the left front foot while the Grahame Begg-trained Nonconformist presented with lameness in his right hind leg.
Both horses will be re-examined by Racing Victoria vets on Friday.
International contenders Breakup, West Wind Blows, Okita Soushi and Valiant King will all be examined for the first time on Friday.
The remaining runners in the Caulfield Cup, including emergency acceptor United Nations, were all passed suitable to race. Without A Fight
