Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Monday’s meeting at Stony Creek.

Flying Dragon (Race 1) has been a big go in the day’s opener having opened well into double figures but shortening a massive close to 17 points to $3.70. The Hard Spun filly is on debut for John Salanitri and the market push suggests plenty is expected first up.

The Bandicoot (Race 4) has been another go at very long odds, more than halving his opening quote to $31. He should be ready to peak third up from a spell and could be worth a place ticket at juicy odds.

Bold Eavey (Race 5) could be worth an each way ticket at $6 having firmed nine dollars in early betting. She is resuming from a spell and while she is yet to win fresh she has raced well and is clearly expected to do so again today.
