Loose Goose (Race 2) has tightened her grip on favouritism at $2.30 having shortened the best part of a point in early betting. The mare ran a close fourth when resuming and should be fitter for that having shown promise at her last preparation.

Nordic Noir (Race 5) is another warm favourite at $2.35 having firmed a full dollar since markets opened. He has been racing consistently including a last-start fourth in a Country Championships qualifier so will be suited back to a class 2.

Zoutenant (Race 6) remains at each value despite having more than halved his early quote to $5.50 since betting commenced. He has been down the track in two runs in the city this campaign but race dwell in stakes company earlier in his career and the punters are backing him to improve with the drop to a country race.

Pierone (Race 7) is another that could be worth an each way ticket at $5.50 having more than halved her price from an opening double-figure quote. The daughter of Pierro is a half sister to Manawanui and made a winning start to her career on debut at Cowra.
