The Money Trail – Flemington, February 18

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Saturday’s meeting at Flemington.

Hey Doc. Picture: Racing and Sports

Take Pride (Race 1) opened as the second favourite but is now top pick in the market at $3.40 having firmed more than a point. She raced well in stakes company in the spring with a second in the G2 Blazer Stakes and was beaten less than a length in the G1 Myer Classic. She has won fresh before and is a winner at this distance.

Time Awaits (Race 4) has almost halved her opening quote to $4.80 and at that price is now the equal favourite. An Adelaide winner on debut, she was a good second to the highly rated filly Formality last start and the punters are backing her to take another step forward.

Hey Doc (Race 6) opened as the equal favourite but now stands alone at the head of the market at $3.60 having firmed a full point early. He was a good third when resuming and as a winner of the Stutt Stakes last spring will appreciate the step up in trip second up.
