Hipparchus (Race 1) opened at the equal favourite but now stands clear on the top line of betting at $2.40, almost a point a half shorter than his first quote. He broke through for a Flemington win over this distance last start and the punters believe he can do it again.

Limestone (Race 3) is challenging for favouritism at $2.60, in 70 cents since markets opened. The filly has won her last two starts including another Blue Diamond lead up last time and while she takes on some new rivals here the push is there to say she can win again.

Pariah (Race 4) has been the best backed in the boys division, in a half point to $3.40 favouritism . The Team Snowden youngster won the Canonbury Stakes on debut in Sydney and the punters believe he can deliver another knockout blow in Melbourne.

Fuhryk (Race 5) is a well supported favourite at $2.90, which is more than a point shorter than her opening quote. She won her first three runs this campaign then was less than 1L away in the Inglis Dash last start so gets her chance to strike back against the fillies.

Silent Sedition (Race 9) opened at each way odds but is now the favourite at $3.80 after shortening the best part of two points. The mare has a touch of class winning a G3 before the break and has never missed a place first up.
