Bryneich (Race 6) has been a firmer since the scratching of Omei Sword, in more than two points this morning to $3.90. The lightly raced colt is making good progress and while this is a big jump in class he impressed first up when winning by more than 4L.

Flippant (Race 7) was an early mover when markets were first posted, firming three points and is currently a $5.50 chance with TopBetta fixed odds. The mare has a touch of class on her day having been beaten less than 2L on the Gold Coast last time and she has won three of seven runs at this distance.

Nikitas (Race 9) opened at double figure odds but remains each way value at $7.50 despite firming more than four points. He resumes having raced in much stronger stakes races last campaign and is a previous first up winner.
