The Money Trail – Wagga, November 21

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting Monday’s meeting at Wagga.

Backless (Race 2) has been well-backed to make a winning debut, in a half point to $1.80. The daughter of Cape Blanco steps out for the Matt Dale stable off a strong 1.3L win in a Canberra barrier trial.

Doogan's Rise (Race 4) has narrowed the margin to the two favourites at $3.20, close to two points shorter than his opening quote with TopBetta. He arrives with decent Victorian form lines and should enjoy the run of the race from gate one.

Heysen (Race 5) represents each way value at $5, in four points on his opening quote. He hit the line well for third at his resuming run so will be fitter second up and looks suited by the extra 200m.

Footmark (Race 6) has tightened his group on favouritism at $2.90, firming 40 cents in early betting. The lightly raced gelding continues to progress, winning his maiden here two runs back and just missing last start and the punters are looking for him to take another step forward.
