Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting for Thursday’s meeting at Echuca.

Hard Spark (Race 5) is a clear second favourite at $2.90 after firming a half point. She resumes from a spell but had consistent form last campaign including three successive second placings and the punters are looking for her to kick off on a winning note.

Solas (Race 7) has been a big go, open at $17 but heavy backing has seen him shorten more than a dozen points to $4.40 and is now second favourite at that price. He has won two of his five runs at this course and distance and was a close fourth last start at Wodonga on the back of a Wagga win.
