Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting for Tuesday’s meeting at Mornington.

Gold Artisan (Race 3) is on the verge of an odds-on quote at $2 after firming 30 cents in early betting. The Team Hawkes trained gelding resumes but did manage a fourth placing at Flemington to stakes-class filly Sebring’s Dream at his maiden preparation.

Wanted Lady (Race 7) opened well into double figures but has more than halved that quote to $8.50 in TopBetta fixed odds betting. The mare resumed from a lengthy spell with a maiden win at Benalla and although she is taking a step up in class the money suggests she can continue on an upward spiral.
