Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Saturday’s meeting at Randwick.

Chapelco (Race 1) opened as the second pick in the market but has now taken over as favourite at $2.50 having shortened more than a point. The Joseph Pride-trained three-year-old was a first up winner at Warwick Farm and punters believe he can repeat with the benefit of race experience.

Nieta (Race 3) opened as the top pick but has only tightened her grip on the market at $2.60 having shortened close to a point and a half. She has been freshened and back to the trials since a start failure on a heavy track but won her previous two and the money suggests she is back on track.

Rock Forthe Ladies (Race 8) has more than halved his opening quote and is one of the best backed runners for the day as a $2.15 favourite . He closed off well to run third when resuming from a spell and has placed in both previous second up runs.
