Guineas Starts a Powerful Week For Highlcere

Power's victory over Foxtrot Romeo in the Irish 2000 Guineas at the Curragh could start an outstanding week for Highclere Stud.

Highclere sold the son of Oasis Dream on behalf of his breeders at Book 1 of the 2010 Tattersalls October Sale from a draft which also included the unbeaten English Derby favourite Camelot, Dante Stakes winner Bonfire, fellow Derby hopeful Minimise Risk and last year's Acomb Stakes winner Entifaadha.

The stud's Book 2 draft that year contained another of this year's Derby hopefuls in Rugged Cross as well as impressive Lingfield Oaks Trial heroine Vow.

Power was sold a 50,000gns vendor buyback but was later sold privately to his current Ballydoyle
