Leading Queensland sire Jet Spur sired three winners at Doomben on Saturday to register his second metropolitan treble in Brisbane in the space of 21 days.
It is a rare achievement for a sire to have two metropolitan trebles within a month with six different horses and gives Jet Spur’s stocks a huge boost leading into next month’s March Magic Millions QTIS Sale where the market will be strong following the recent news that all the key components of QTIS will be retained.
On Saturday Jet Spur had runners in only three races and won them all.
His first winner, the promising 2YO filly Two Shoes, was purchased from the Glenlogan Park draft at last year’s Magic Millions QTIS Sale. The Tony Sears trained youngster was having her second career start after and easy win on debut at Toowoomba in November.
His other winners were Liam BIrchley’s good mare Lady Jetsetter and Mischievous Devil, the Peter Hulbert-trained 4YO who was narrowly beaten at his previous start in the Listed Sunshine Coast Cup.
