Day of Breeders' Cup Classic winner Bayern dies after foaling.

Alittlebitearly (Thunder Gulch), dam of Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr 1, 10f) winner and Hill 'n' Dale Farm-based sire Bayern (Offlee Wild), died on Monday after foaling a filly by Nyquist (Uncle Mo). She was 18. 

Alittlebitearly has produced five winners from six foals to race to date with Bayern her only stakes winner. He retired from racing the winner of six of his 15 starts which also included the Haskell Invitational (Gr 1, 9f) and his 2020 fee is advertised at US$15,000. 

Unraced herself, Alittlebitearly is out of the Grade 2 winner Aquilegia (Alydar) making her a half-sister to Group winning sire Bertolini (Danzig).
