Daughter of the late Deep Impact scores a strong win in the Kyoto Kinen
2019 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) (Gr 1, 2400m) winner Loves Only (5 m Deep Impact - Loves Only Me, by Storm Cat) returned to form with a strong win in the Kyoto Kinen (Gr 2, 2200m) at Hanshin on Sunday.
Loves Only Me, winless since her Japanese Oaks victory, stayed on strongly to score by a length and quarter over stablemate Stay Foolish (Stay Gold) with a further half length back to Danburite (Rulership) in third.
Loves Only Me, one of Deep Impact’s (Sunday Silence) 169 stakes winners and 47 Group One winners, is a sister to fellow Group One winner and former shuttle sire Reel Steel (Real Impact). Her third dam is the champion mare Miesque (Nureyev).
