ROSEHILL SATURDAY

RACE 4 (9): LA BELLA ROUGE: Confident the strong Goulburn stable of Danny Williams has made the right choice of race for this dual acceptor. She has come up in good form in her two starts since resuming on her home track, Improving from her first-up fourth to win easily over 1400m on December 10 under 59kg. These Highway events for the country horses are never easy but she is on the up and I expect to see her run a big race as she is well drawn to use her tactical speed.

RACE 6 (4) MISS ROYALE: Appeals as a big improver out of the Waller stable after a classy first-up win at Warwick Farm when she sprinted strongly to the line over 1300m at her first start for almost eight months. The way she overcame early trouble before circling the field to win running away at just her third career start stamped her as a mare certain to win in better company.

RACE 7 (8) HEAVENS ABOVE: Deserves a win after three excellent placings since resuming as she could have won any of them with better luck. Meets a similar field to last time when she stormed home over 1500m at this course on December 12 for a luckless third behind Caped Crusader and Magical Stance. The switch to a stronger rider and the extra trip are just what she needs to turn the tables.
