The Money Trail – Warwick Farm, August 23

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Wednesday’s meeting at Warwick Farm.

Pandemonium (Race 1) has been heavily backed and is now into the red at $1.55 having firmed a half point since betting commenced. The lightly-raced filly was a dominant winner at Kembla last start and there is confidence she can repeat the dose stepping up to city class.

Presscott (Race 2) has been backed into favouritism at $3.10 having almost halved his opening quote. He switched back to NSW after running in stronger races in Melbourne and looks better placed today.

Smooth Landing (Race 3) opened well into each way odds but has firmed more than three points to $4.80. The filly ran on for third when resuming at Canterbury and improvement is expected second up.

Nictock (Race 4) is another backed into an odds on quote at $1.75, more than half a point shorter than his opening price. He has won his last two starts including and all the way win at Canterbury last start and there is confidence he can complete the hat trick.
