The Money Trail – Muswellbrook, July 4

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Muswellbrook.

Magic Belinda (Race 2) opened at each way odds but has been backed into favouritism at $3.60, almost two-and-a-half points shorter than her initial quote. The Magic Albert filly makes her debut for Todd Howlett having won a Gosford trial by a handy margin.

Homily (Race 4) is now on the verge of an odds-on quote at $2 having firmed close to a point. The lightly-raced filly has improved rapidly and won her maiden at this course by a big margin last start.

St Luke (Race 7) could be worth an each way ticket at $5 having firmed four points this morning. He is racing well with a win and two placings from his last three starts and was placed at his only previous attempt on heavy going.
