Hualalai (Race 1) has tightened his grip on favouritism at $2.50 after firming a half point in early betting. The colt should be peaking third up having won at Kembla when resuming before a second at this course last start.

Gallic Chieftain (Race 5) is a pronounced favourite at $2.40 having tightened 30 cents since markets opened. The import heads north off a strong win at Moonee Valley last start and the longer trip should only suit better.

Gold Symphony (Race 7) opened at double figures odds but is in to $7.50 after firming four points. He drops back in class from a sixth in the Stradbroke last start having placed behind subsequent G1 winner Clearly Innocent when resuming.

Sir Plush (Race 8) is a well-supported favourite at $2.15 having tightened 60 cents in early betting. He was strong when winning first up at this course and there is confidence he can repeat the dose.
