The Money Trail – Wyong, June 29

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Thursday’s meeting at Wyong.

Rhymes (Race 4) has tightened her grip on favouritism at $2 having firmed 50 cents since markets opened. She was runner up on a heavy track last start and may appreciate returning to a soft surface having won in that going at Newcastle first up.

Power Command (Race 5) has taken over at the head of the market at $2.30, more than a point shorter than her opening price. The filly wasn’t beaten too far on debut at Newcastle and the market push suggests she has come on since then.

Danzie (Race 6) is a popular favourite and has now been backed into an odds-on quote at $1.95 after firming close to a point this morning. The promising three-year-old won on debut before going close last start and looks to have plenty of upside.

Kool Vinnie (Race 8) is now a clear second pick at $3.70, almost a point shorter than his initial quite. He is in terrific form with three wins and a close second from four runs on the country circuit this time in and looks ready to step up to provincial level.
