Landmark for Baker as it was his first treble at a city meeting.SCOTT BRUNTON/DAVID PIRES: Top Tasmanian duo land another Melbourne win at Moonee Valley with the talented Lord Da Vinci. These Tasmanians are making a habit of showing up the Melbourne form when they hit town.
BRANDON STOCKDALE: Promising apprentice lands a double at Moonee Valley including a winner trained by his father, the former rider Frankie Stockdale. Certain to make his mark with his claim during the winter months.DARREN BEADMAN: His tenure at the top at Godolphin is coming to an end but surely his success has whetted his appetite to be a trainer in his own right. Another pleasing day with three wins at Rosehill and Ipswich including the quinella in the Gai Waterhouse Classic.

BEAU MERTENS: Felt the wrath of stewards and almost wore a charge for an incompetent ride on the favourite Leonoro in the last at Moonee Valley. Stewards were less than impressed with his tactics and error of judgement that left the horse badly held up for clear running. A one out of 10 ride from the boom apprentice.RACHEL KING: Copped a reprimand for setting unsustainable fast pace on ARBEITSAM at Rosehill.
BRENTON AVDULLA: He may be leading the Sydney premiership but he won’t look back on his ride on PAKAYA PRINCE at Rosehill as one of his memorable efforts. KILLARNEY KID: Crying out for 2o00m and a big track.ACATOUR: Luckless in the Eye Liner. Wants 1400m at least.

RACE 1`: Gaulois did the right thing by punters when leading throughout. Touched odds-on in the morning but blew late to start $2.70. Despite the drift commanded 47 percent of the total investment. Gaulois and second horse Hualalai ($3.80) totally dominated the hold with over 70 percent of all bets. Arrestar fluctuated in and out between $9 and as much as $17. Jumped an $8.50 chance.BETS: Gaulois $10,000 @ $1.95
RACE 2: The winner Just Dreaming ($7-$8.50) did it tough to cart the field up to the heavily backed favourite Arbeitsam ($2.30), who was running along out in front. Arbeitsam, which had approximately half of all bets riding on him, was gone on straightening and finished unplaced.BETS: Just Dreaming $1,000 x $2,000 e/w @ $8/$2.20
RACE 3: Zamex landed some nice bets taking out his second consecutive TAB Highway after a drift from $2.30 to $2.80 but held sway carrying more than 50 percent of the money in the race. Mister Marmalade was $6 into $4.80 but couldn't finish the job in the straight.BETS: Zamex $2,400 @ $2.30, $2,200 @ $2.40, $2,000 @ $2.80
RACE 4: Test The World rs to get the money. Well tried $2.60 favourite was as high as $3 and as low as $2.20 earlier in the morning.RACE 5: Liaparti was the best supported runner to beat the favourite Moss N Dale but still held less than a third of the money on the favourite. Moss N Dale opened at $5 on Wednesday, was crunched all week and went around at $2.30.
BETS: Moss N Dale $6,000 @ $2.40 TWICE; Liapari $1,000 @ $6.50 TWICERACE 6: Supply And Demand made it back-to-back wins and defied a betting drift from $3 out to $4.20. The heavily supported Tucanchoo ($3.90-$4.20) held four times the amount of money that Supply And Demand did and was responsible for approximately 45 percent of the total investment. Mighty Lucky opened at $16 race morning and was backed into as low as $9.
BETS: Tucanchoo $3,000 @ $4.20; Montauk $3,000 @ $8RACE 7: Sir Plush attracted support firming up from $6 into $4.80 and ran over the top of the two frontrunners in Badajoz and Fickle Folly. Badajoz went out as the most popular runner with a 42 percent hold while Fickle Folly was one of the biggest firmers in the race, $9 into $4.20. Pioneering ($5.50) attracted good money and was best supported to beat Badajoz.
BETS: Badajoz $2,000 @ $4RACE 8: Carzoff let favourite backers down here after it was run down late. The Chris Waller-trained runner was smashed in betting, backed from $2.20 int0 $1.95 favourite after as much as $5 was given earlier in the week. Carzoff was one of the best backed runners all day and was responsible for nearly 60 percent of the money here. Collateral ($6.50-$6).was easily the best tried to beat it but held less than a quarter of the money than the favourite.
BETS: Carzoff $5,000 @ $2.15, $3,200 @ $2.15, $2,500 @ $2.15; Collateral $1,000 @ $6 MULTIPLE TIMESRACE 9: Invincible Knight ($6-$7.50) stormed home to land the money in the last. He was one of the best supported runners in terms of money taken. He beat Pick Me Up ($6.50-4.40) and Pakaya Prince ($7-$5). Francesco ($10-$8) went out as the most popular runner and held 23 percent of the total investment. Pick Me Up and Invincible Knight were next best in front of Pakaya Prince.

RACE 1: Pure Emotion ($13-$18) had to do it tough outside the leader but was too strong over the concluding stages. Relatively unwanted in betting, Pure Emotion had been $10 earlier in the week. Magic Mila, which led at massive odds of $151, battled on gamely for second while the well supported runners Josephine Sea ($4) wound up third. Behave was backed from $4.60 into as low as $3.70; Speak Softly opened at $12 and bottomed out at $4 and Zelsignoret was $12 into $4.60.BETS: Josephine Sea $2,000 @ $3.90; Behave $1,850 @ $4.20
RACE 2: Unique Lovely landed a nice move. As much as $10 earlier in the week but firmed up significantly from $8 into $6. Unique Lovely beat Miss Vesper ($14-$10-$17) and If Not Now When ($3.50-$4.80). The majority of support today was with Airino ($4-$3.70) who was as much as $6 in first markets. The John Sadler-trained runner held just under a third of all investments on the race.BETS: Airino $2,113 @ $3.60; If Not Now When $2,000 @ $4.80; Unique Lovely $5,000 @ $5.50
RACE 3: The specking for Essence Of Terror ($14-$8.50) proved to be right when she beat the well backed Zara Bay ($6-$3.20-$3.40) and Appalachian Annie ($6.50-$5.50). Zara Bay was the most popular runner in terms of money held while Miss Vista ($3.80-$3.20) wasn't too far behind. The pair held 76 percent of the money.RACE 4: Stylish Miss ($34) led throughout to cause a big upset. She beat Mamzelle Tess ($8-$9.50-$8) and Have Another Glass ($6-$4.60-$5). The big disappointment was Soho Ruby ($4.20) who was $8 earlier in the week. The Levi Kavanagh-trained runner was five times as popular as anything else.
BETS: Soho Ruby $4,000 @ $4RACE 5: Lord Da Vinci defied a betting drift to get the money. Went up at $4 on Wednesday but crunched into $2.90 before getting back out to as much as $5. Camdus ($6.50-$8) finished off nicely for second. Whistle Baby ($4.60) and Reldas ($7) were easily the two most popular picks.
RACE 6: Leaders dominated the finish as Revolving Door ($7-$6) sat outside the leader Liberty Song ($9-$11) and proved too strong for that galloper. The popular pick Highland Beat ($4.80-$4.40) looped the field after being wide and was just behind them in third.BETS: Highland Beat $3,000 @ $4.20
RACE 7: Black Tomahawk ($21-$51) caused a huge upset diving late to nail the well supported Megablast ($6-$5) and Show A Star ($8-$5-$6). Hursley ($4.60) was the most popular horse while Coldstone ($5-$4.60), who was $8 on opening during the week, led and weakened out of the placings.BETS: Coldstone $3,000 @ $4.60
RACE 8: Petrology ($16-$31-$26) arrived in the last bound after attracting good each-way money but still drifted in the market thanks to the big support for Heart Starter and Data Point. Heart Starter, a $13 chance when markets first opened on Wednesday, bottomed out at $3.90 and jumped a $4.40 second pick. Heart Starter still went out as the most popular runner in terms of money taken, with Data Point a clear second best.BETS: Data Point $2000 @ $4; Heart Starter $2000 @ $4.40
RACE 9: Catch That Cat ($10-$18-$15) railed through after trailing the leader Attracted good each-way backing but all the big money was with Leodoro ($3.10). The gelding held more than half of all bets and was a big firmer having opened at $4.40 during the week.BETS: Leodoro $9,000 @ $2.80; Catch That Cat $2,500 e/w @ $13/$3.65
