Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Saturday’s meeting at Rosehill.

Arbeitsam (Race 2) has almost halved his opening quote to $2.80 and at that price is now the favourite. The three-year-old was brave when he was just nosed out at his resuming effort last start and wouldn’t have to improve much second up to win this.

Murrmaid (Race 3) could be worth an each way ticket at $6 having firmed three points from his opening quote. The filly has been in terrific form winning both of her runs this time in and there is some confidence she can continue the winning run.

Moss 'N' Dale (Race 5) has taken over as favourite at $2.90 having shortened more than two points. He scored wins at Randwick and Warrnambool before a brave second in the Echuca Cup last start behind a subsequent Flemington winner.

Tucanchoo (Race 6) is in to second favouritism at $5 having shortened more than two points. He has placed at both runs this time in and should be peaking third up with a good record at this course and distance.

Sir Plush (Race 7) remains at each way value at $6 despite having firmed three points since betting commenced. He resumes but has won fresh before and scored at his only previous attempt at this course and distance.

Carzoff (Race 8) has tightened his grip on favouritism at $3.80, a point-and-a-half shorter than his opening quote. The import was a strong second first up in what was his Aussie debut and he should only be better for that outing.

Pakaya Prince (Race 9) is another each way chance at $7.50 having almost halved his first price. He has been racing Victoria and should appreciate the wet conditions having won in heavy going three starts back.
