Trainer John O'Shea sums up the runners from the Godolphin stable on April 15.
RANDWICK - April 15
Race 4 - TAB Hall Mark Stakes (1200m)
FEDERAL: "Federal has always had a good record first-up and he loves wet ground. He’s got nice improvement to make on whatever he does on Saturday.”Race 5 - JRA Sharp Plate (2000m)
BIG BLUE: “Big Blue’s a lovely horse who has been gelded since his last run in France. He’s had a lovely foundation, a few trials. A really nice staying horse.”FLOODLIGHT: “He’s got the blinkers on this week. It was a bit unfortunate that he got the very heavy ground the other day and he had a negative run. I wouldn’t be keen to run him on heavy ground this week.”
Race 8 - JHB Carr Stakes (1400m)RAIMENT: “Raiment’s in great order. I’ve forgiven her run the other day. She was wide all the way when you needed to be on the rail. The 1400 poses no problems for her and she should roll forward and take up a good position.”
Race 9 - Royal Randwick 100 Handicap (1400m)
DUCA VALENTINOIS: “Duca Valentinois has worked brilliantly. He was very unlucky last preparation, he kept drawing bad gates in slowly-run races.”MOHER: “Moher is coming off a really successful preparation last time. He usually takes a run or two to hit his straps. We’re happy with the form he’s in and im sure he will run a nice race and lay a good foundation for a strong winter campaign.
