The Money Trail – Hawkesbury, Tuesday May 31

Racing and Sports finds the best-backed runners in early betting on Tuesday’s meeting at Hawkesbury.

Track: Good 3.

Rail: +3m 1300m-800m, +5m 800m-W/Post, True Remainder

First race: 12.10pm

Free Sky (Race 2) is expected to make a competitive debut if the early market is anything to go by. The well bred colt has firmed the best part of a point to a fixed odds quote of $3. A son of Redoute’s Choice and Group 1 winner Hasna, Free Sky has been seen only once in public when a close runner-up in a Hawkesbury barrier trial.

Validate (Race 5) is challenging for favouritism after being well-backed in early markets. The Kim Waugh-trained filly has firmed in close to a point to a fixed odds price of $3.30 with TopBetta. A market drifter when resuming with a fifth placing during the Scone carnival, punters are expecting an improved showing with the filly having a win and a placing from two previous second up runs.

Sweet Serendipity (Race 7) opened at good each way odds but has already firmed several point early. He has gone around at big odds at all four runs this campaign but drops in class from city or open grade races. In a race with some early action King’s Tariff has also come in for support at each way odds.
