Alexander Zverev and Ugo Humbert have moved up in the ATP Rankings after their achievements at the Paris Masters, while Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have each slipped one spot.

Zverev has overtaken Alcaraz to claim the world No 2 position after crushing Humbert in straight sets in the Paris final to claim his seventh Masters 1000 crown.

The German's triumph increased his points tally by 910 points to 7,715, which puts him 3,615 points behind world No 1 Jannik Sinner — who did not compete in Paris. Alcaraz is 505 points adrift of Zverev in third place after his third-round defeat to Humbert.

Humbert's run to his maiden Masters 1000 championship match has seen him jump four spots to world No 14 — one place below his career-high ranking.

Djokovic has dropped the 1,000 points he earned for winning the 2023 Paris Masters after he chose not to defend his title at this year's event.

This has caused the Serbian to slip from fourth to fifth in the rankings, with Daniil Medvedev overtaking him by 20 points despite a second-round exit in Paris. Djokovic will not, therefore, be one of the top four seeds if he plays at next week's ATP Finals.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Casper Ruud and Alex de Minaur have climbed to seventh and eighth respectively, while Andrey Rublev has dropped to ninth and Grigor Dimitrov has fallen to 10th.

Holger Rune's run to the semi-finals in Paris has earned him a two-place jump to 11th, while Karen Khachanov has re-entered the top 20 after reaching the same stage.

Jordan Thompson has climbed two spots to a career-high ranking of world No 26 following his run to his first Masters 1000 quarter-final.

Arthur Cazaux, who entered the Paris Masters draw as a lucky loser, has made an 18-place surge to a career-best position of 67 after advancing to the third round.
