Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Albury, Taree and Ballarat.
ALBURY: RACE 3 @ 2:15 PM
PROJETO (1) is a Master Of Design gelding stepping out on debut for the Peter Maher Stable. Has a wide gate to overcome but looks to have his fair share of talent, scoring an impressive trial victory at Wangaratta in readiness. Interesting to note the blinkers being applied for the debut. Bright start expected. SNIPPERTY VIXEN (9) showed good early toe here on debut before fading over the concluding stages. Strips fitter and is sure to have improved from the experience. In the mix. GRAY'S REWARD (6) has struggled to make an impact in her last two efforts but had looked to be nearing her maiden success off the back of a narrow finish here three back. Her best run has come at this venue. Expecting a much better showing. MISS HELMUT (7) next best.

CALL ME ARTIE (1) found some of his best form again by finishing third when back to this level last time out. He has a good draw to work with and has won his only start on this track. It may have been some time between drinks for this fellow but today could be the day. BROAD OUTLOOK (4) led up a fortnight ago at Quirindi and only succumbed late in proceedings to finish a game third. He likes the track and if he is allowed his own rules in front then he could take some pegging back. GOLD MERCHANT (2) was a tough winner fresh up at Coffs Harbour when lifting strongly on the inside to get the bob in and score by a nose. He is showing some good promise on a wet track and can double up. HE'S A COPY BOY (3) has really improved this prep once he got up over some ground and has now gone back to back. He will only keep on improving and can complete the hat-trick of wins today. Stick with him.

BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 8 @ 4:30 PM
MAGGIE NOW (5) has needed both her runs back this prep and will be at her peak third up. She drops in class and Linda Meech takes over the reins. Both her wins have come over this trip and she is set to show her best form. Watch closely. ILOVEROSES (4) won her maiden fresh up by a nose at Stawell and was then back in form here last time out when running on strongly to nab third place. The extra one hundred metres will suit her and she will be hitting the line hard. Watch for her late. VELENTINO (7) was run down fresh up at Warracknabeal after setting the pace and will strip fitter for this second up. She has a much better draw today and if finding the front again she should take some pegging back. Include in all multiples. GOLD MANUKA (3) finished fifth last start over 1000m at Mornington when she had to contend with an awkward barrier. Fares better at the draw this time and is capable of a big run.
