The Argentinean gelding won five races in Singapore and following two unplaced runs in the country, went on to impress with a run of five podium finishes, winning once in Class 4 and found one to beat four times in Class 3 including the likes of Witnessimpact and Infinity Glory.

The eight-year-old started favourite in his last start over 1300m, and after running in midfield, faded to finish of 10 runners.

With Simon Dunderdale-trained stablemates Infinity Warrior and Infinity Glory all the rage, starting first and second favourite in the betting, Pacific Flash went off at generous odds today.

Pacific Flash  jumped brilliantly and led early. Golden Sardine then took over and jockey Laercio De Souza then eased Pacific Flash to settle second on the rails. Infinity Warrior, Emperor Taizong and Revolution were in close attendance.

Making the turn into the straight, Golden Sardine led with Infinity Warrior closing in second and Revolution racing three-wide from the 800m.

Pacific Flash, meanwhile, had a dream run on the rails throughout and was just behind the leader coming to the straight. After running in midfield, Infinity Glory took the turn very wide.

Golden Sardine  was still in front at the 200m but with Pacific Flash breathing down his neck. Revolution was next while Infinity Warrior was beaten and Infinity Glory failed to run on.

Pacific Flash surged to the front at the 150m held on to win from a determined Revolution. Golden Nine  came home strongly to finish third.

"I am happy with the win," said De Souza. "I have now ridden him thrice for two wins and a second."

"He's a very genuine horse," said trainer Tiang Kim Choi. "I can't explain his poor performance last start other than that the distance (1300m) might be beyond him.

"I hope he will win more races."
