Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for November 20.
Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Canterbury, Caulfield Heath, Balaklava, Belmont and Launceston.
CANTERBURY: RACE 3 @ 3:10 PM
The sparingly raced mare JOYNER (10) continued her fine form last start when a very close third over 1100m at Hawkesbury. Enjoys a perfect run out of the inside gate and an extra 100m comes at the right time of the prep. RINGAROSA (1) never looked a chance last time out over this trip at Rosehill when second-up. Down significantly in class, draws a better gate, and gets blinkers on for the first time so a swift turnaround in form is on the cards. SMILING PROPHET (5) wound up late to grab third at her latest run over 1100m at Wyong. Cherry-ripe and needs this distance now. UP TO MISCHIEF (3) returns from a 28-week spell. Opened last prep with a couple of wins before failing at Caulfield and being turned out. Expect her to be ready for this after two recent trials. DECEIVE (6) resumes. Struggled last prep on wet ground so see how the track plays before diving in.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Joyner.

CAULFIELD HEATH: RACE 5 @ 3:20 PM
HOOAH HAVANA (2) looks well placed here. Two starts back he ran second to a smart mare in Yellow Sam at Bendigo before tackling the Country Final at Flemington and running well for sixth, beaten 1.5 lengths. He should relish the 1800m now and drops in grade for this. DIVINE CROWN (7) has been good in two runs back and looks set to peak here getting over a bit more ground. He worked home well at Pakenham last time over 1600m and could sit closer from an inside gate now. DRAMATICUS (8) is a lightly raced gelding who has won 2/3, getting up narrowly at Ararat last time. This is harder but he's promising. MACY MOON (5) won narrowly when well supported at Warrnambool last time and has claims off that. AUSTRATA (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Hooah Havana to win.
BALAKLAVA: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
GINGER SINNER (9) struggles to land the winning blow but continues to knock on the door. Was beaten narrowly again last start in town by what looks an above-average one, who subsequently jumped fav in a hot field. Peak fitness now and has Toeroek sticking. The one to beat. WARM BREEZE (7) is a Kiwi important making his stable debut for the Bain & Taylor partnership. Returns a gelding and strips fitter for a solid hit out here in readiness. Draws low for Nunes and can make a strong Australian debut. ARLO'S DREAM (8) is a Sir Prancealot gelding on debut for Jon O'Connor. Has shown some positive signs in his lead-up work without threatening and carries a feather on his back with the 3kg claimer engaged. Worth paying attention to what the market does with him. Could add some juice to the exotics at long odds. TAKING OMAHA (12) was much better last start when taken forward. Draws the inside and is open to further improvement.
SELECTIONS: Ginger Sinner to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 5 @ 3:55 PM
SIX SHOOTER (10) has been impressive to begin his career, just missing at Bunbury in this grade 15 days ago as favourite. Chris Parnham hops back in the saddle now and he was a comfortable winner here two back. Ticks plenty of boxers and can continue to work through the grades. RIGHT TO SILENCE (6) wasn't far away here last start over 1200m when beaten only 1.1L. Draws for a lovely run under Galati and she looks to be getting back to her best. Ready to peak third-up and is a leading contender. CLOSE TALKER (2) was far too good in a CL1 here last start and is on the 7-day turnaround. Hard to knock what she did last start and she's improved with every run this time in. Can make her presence felt once again. OUR NEMESIS (1) can improve now third-up into the campaign and the slight rise in trip should suit. MAGICAL GEM (5) was a fresh winner last campaign and has to be included first-up.
SELECTIONS: Six Shooter can get the job done.
LAUNCESTON: RACE 6 @ 8:25 PM
A good race. CARTOON GRAVEYARD (2) was quickly back to form winning this grade at Hobart as an equal favourite. He ran his best figure over a mile and has delivered 2/2 third-up. Gets in well again with the 2kg claim and can go on with the job. SHARMA'S LAST (3) peaks and made it three on the trot winning a 76 comfortably over this distance. Maps well and fitter again is sure to feature. SIR SIMON (1) led and missed a whisker behind Cartoon Graveyard at Hobart. He jumps from a rail and controls the race. Keeps the 4kg claim and will give a big sight. GENERAL ASSEMBLY (5) tries hard and is likely best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with Cartoon Graveyard.
