Despite only winning a Kranji Stakes D event last start, the Mark Walker trained Sacred Croix is a must follow and should prove very hard to beat in the seventh event this evening.
Lining up at just his fourth start, Sacred Croix steps up in both class/trip, but is expected to pass the test with flying colours.
Ridden by Benny Woodworth, Sacred Croix found a good spot midfield, one off the fence with the Steven Burridge trained Everybody Happy taking up the running.
Close to 5L off the lead passing the 600m, Sacred Croix spotted the leaders a decent start with the first three slipping away into the straight. While not one to panic, Woodworth pulled him to the centre, before unleashing Sacred Croix inside the 300m.
Everybody Happy gave a good kick out in front and looked home, before Sacred Croix really knuckled down late. His last 200m was ultra impressive, grabbing Everybody Happy in the last stride.
While only a narrow margin, the sectionals tell a completely different story.Had he run his race more efficiently, he has close to 5L up his sleeve and he is bred to be even better over further.
The fact he has only won by narrow margins is also in our favour, as it has somewhat hidden just how well he is going.
When looking at sectional mark ups/adjustments, he has the ability to win a Class 3/Kranji Stakes C event.Off a rating of 61, he gives weight away to all his rivals this evening, but is still very well placed and should take a power of beating.
The Hideyuki Takaoka trained Wind Trail was only narrowly beaten in his Singapore debut and looms as a major threat.Formerly based in Japan, Wind Trail displayed on fair ability, but is only lightly raced and appears to be in good order for his new stable.
The step up in trip should suit and with Lerner sticking aboard he has to be respected.Three-year-old Per Inpower rates well on best form and has to be kept safe in his return.
A handy maiden winner two back, he has had three trials in the lead up and looks well set up to sprint well fresh.Of the rest last start winner Gentlemen Agreement appears the next in line.
While only a narrow victor last start, he did it nicely and has to be included.Good luck and happy punting.
