Queen Roulette Well Placed Back In Grade

Talented filly Queen Roulette drops back sharply in grade this evening and appears well placed to return to the winner's stall in the tenth event at Singapore.

Thrown in the deep end last start, Queen Roulette was clearly no match for Countofmontecristo however she wasn't entirely disgraced.

A winner of three of her 12 starts, including five minor placings Queen Roulette is sure to appreciate the sharp drop back in grade.

In eight attempts over this trip she has placed in seven, with her only failure coming in the Group 3 Singapore 3YO Sprint.

Queen Roulette placed at her only previous third up attempt and rates highly on her first up placing behind Al Green.

The one query with Queen Of Roulette is her best form has come on the turf track, she has only placed once from four attempts on the polytrack.

Nonetheless you clearly have to respect her class and although drawn wide, she should be able to adopt a fairly prominent position, either off the speed or midfield.

The in-form Nooresh Juglall links back aboard and has placed in all previous six attempts aboard the filly.

In a race which clearly lacks depth, Queen Roulette should prove hard to beat.

The Daniel Meagher trained Red Claw has been rock solid in two starts to begin this preparation and now appears set to peak racing third up.

A winner of three of his 18 attempts, Red Claw has placed on a further seven occasions and has placed in three of five attempts over this trip.

Group 1 winning jockey Danny Beasley legs aboard for the first time and possesses a decent strike rate with the Meagher stable — 18%.

A noted front-runner he is expected to be prominent early and looms as a major threat.

The Shane Baertschiger trained Jubilation wasn't beaten all that far first up and remains open to good improvement racing second up.

While only winning three from 25, he has placed at five of his last nine starts and has placed in five of 12 attempts at this track.

Jubilation has drawn to receive all the favours on the inside and shapes as one of the hardest to beat racing on the fresh side (30 days).

Of the rest the James Peters trained Winning Express appears the next in line.

An impressive maiden winner at this course and distance last start, Winning Express is only lightly raced and remains open to good improvement.

In-form jockey Glen Boss sticks aboard and he notably boasts an impressive strike rate with the Peters stable — 23%.

From the inside draw he shouldn't be too far away and appears more than capable of taking that next step.

Good luck and happy punting.
